OVERVIEW:

DAY 1: EXPERIENCE NAIROBI
Arrive in Nairobi where you will be greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel. If you choose to arrive in the morning or early afternoon, you will have the added option to experience Nairobi. Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, The Giraffe Center, or the Karen Blixen Museum, and dine at the famed Carnivore Restaurant. Service is our specialty! We will be there every step of the way to help guide you, and we'll set everything up according to your preferences so you can relax and enjoy your adventure!

DAY 2: TRAVEL TO SAMBURU
After breakfast, depart to Samburu National Reserve, a park famous for its rugged beauty, rich wildlife and semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen. In addition to a plethora of big cats, Samburu offers a "Special 5" unique to the area: the long-necked gerenuk, Grevvy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx and the Somali ostrich.

DAY 3-4: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Full days of game viewing in Samburu.

DAY 5: NAKURU
Early morning Game Drive in Samburu followed by breakfast, and then travel to Lake Nakuru, the "Bird Watcher's Paradise" on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The area is rich with wildlife, including lions, rhinos, flamingos, and much more! (For those choosing to drive instead of fly, there will be shopping at the curio shoppes by the equator and a picnic lunch at Thompson's Falls.) Afternoon walks and game drives through Nakuru, including enjoying the baboons and other animals at scenic Baboon's Cliff.

DAY 6: NAIVASHA & HELL'S GATE
Early morning game drive from Nakuru to Lake Naivasha, the highest of the Rift Valley lakes lush with water birds and hippos. Upon arrival, you will be escorted by boat to Crescent Island, an animal and bird sanctuary where you can enjoy a gentle walk mingling up-close with zebras, giraffes and the other animals of the sanctuary. For the adventurous, another option is to "take a walk on the wild side" and travel to Hell's Gate National Park. Named for its intense geothermal activity, Hell's Gate boasts spectacular scenery, including towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, quiet volcanoes and tufts of geothermal steam wafting from the ground. An afternoon of easy biking and hiking may be arranged, and it's the perfect way to revitalize between long days of game drives.

DAY 7: TRAVEL TO MASAI MARA
Depart after breakfast for the unparalleled beauty of Masai Mara where you will enjoy an afternoon game drive. Famed for its large population of black-maned Masai lions, African leopards and Tanzanian cheetahs, as well as the Great Migration, Nature's grand spectacle of zebra and wildebeest journeying to and from the Serengeti in search of fresh grasses every year from July to October. 

DAYS 8-9-10-11: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Spend full days exploring the rolling hills and plains of the Mara for a chance to spot lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and—if you're lucky—a black rhino. Those traveling in July and August can expect to experience The Great Migration. Enjoy extras like a Hot Air Balloon Ride over the plains, a Sundowner, or an Evening Game Drive. We strive to fulfill your every desire to make this the trip of your lifetime!

DAY 12 - RETURN TO NAIROBI:
Travel back to Nairobi where you can choose to travel home, or stay on to enjoy one of our travel extensions, such as the relaxing beaches of Zanzibar.
